Information about the study
After enjoying strong growth in recent years, the SQS group is now systematically putting its market under the microscope. Following on from a first survey in 2007, the latest study from PAC (Pierre Audoin Consultants) paints a precise picture of the practice and trends of IT quality assurance.
At the beginning of 2008 the IT analysts from PAC questioned more than 1,000 companies in 12 European countries and South Africa regarding their opinions of software testing and how they normally deal with it. The result: the great majority of companies see software testing as being important for the success and cost-effectiveness of IT projects. However, there is little transparency in most firms as to the resources they use for this purpose.
SQS is the leading independent provider of software quality management and testing services. SQS employs over 1,450 people in its branches throughout the world. In 2008 SQS generated sales of 143 million euros.
PAC is the leading European consulting and market analysis firm for the software and IT services industry. Market studies and subsequent consulting services arising from the findings are part of the services it offers. Headquartered in Paris PAC has been serving over 300 customers around the world for 30 years.
