Benchmarking Tool on Software-Testing

Using the recent independent survey results as a basis, SQS has developed a tool which enables you to quickly and accurately benchmark your organisation's approach to testing against the market leaders.

The benchmarking exercise requires five minutes of your time to answer 10 simple questions about your current testing practices. The tool will then calculate a score, showing how you compare against the industry leaders.

  • 1. Over the last 12 months how many products have failed at go live?

     

  • 2. Do you have an enterprise wide testing strategy?

     

  • 3. Is your testing process poorly documented and inefficient?

     

  • 4. Do you agree that it often seems like your testing teams are either sitting idle or overworked

     

  • 5. Is testing budgeted for separately as a component of the overall development funding?

     

  • 6. How important do you think it is that the test team is independent of the product development team?

     

  • 7.Within the last 2 years can you recall any situations where a lack of testing or poor testing has cost the company “real” money?

     

  • 8. How would you describe the company's investment in test automation tools?

     

  • 9. How many days training on testing does your testing staff get in an average year?
